Entry Level Network Administrator
Job Summary
Candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT systems.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the LAN in the Windows environment of a regulated industry
Monitor security, performance and workload of the network infrastructure
Manage hardware devices such as routers, firewalls, switches, VPN, etc.
Perform network troubleshooting and debugging to isolate, diagnose and resolve network problems
Upgrade network hardware and software components as required
Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft IIS
Follow established IT Standard Operating Procedures in a laboratory environment
Configure and maintain Windows 2000 and 2003 servers and desktop computers ranging from Windows 95 to XP
Track software licensing and ensure compliance
Manage Active Directory user accounts and group policies
Perform daily network backup procedures using Symantec Backup Exec software
Administer the phone system
Provide technical support and guidance to users
Administer GroupWise email accounts
Requirements
Associate/Bachelors Degree, Certification(s), or equivalent
Knowledge of computer hardware
Knowledge of computer networks and protocols – DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SMTP, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot network issues
Strong problem solving skills
Good written and oral communications skills
Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize
Ability to work independently or with a team
Highly motivated
Experience with GroupWise email, Microsoft Active Directory, network infrastructure hardware, RAID, IIS a plus
2+ years related experience desirable

Senior Chemist – 2 Positions Open
Job Summary
Senior Chemists have a very high level of involvement with the day to day testing/quality activities within the laboratory and provide guidance to Chemists/Microbiologists/Specialists on technical/quality matters.
Responsibilities
Participates in various tasks including method development and data system management
Performs method transfers and validations within operational area with minimal supervision
Writes final reports to support these activities
Directs laboratory projects from set-up through data interpretation and reporting
Performs both routine and non-routine assignments, utilizing a wide array of instrumentation
Trains all levels of staff on methods, instruments, or quality principals
Works with Group Leaders to continually assess production capacity of themselves in order to make sure that the appropriate steps are being taken to attain the highest possible level of productivity
Assist in equipment and facility maintenance; investigate and facilitate the solving of any equipment/ facility problems
Promotes cooperation and teamwork within the group and the company
Senior Scientists may be assigned responsibility over specific project or test area, and they may be the main interface between PLS and the client
Coordinate work flow, from incoming samples through analysis, to out going results
Requirements
This position can be an entry position for a Ph.D. candidate or can be a Masters of Science degreed, Bachelor of Science degreed, or non-degreed individual with equivalent experience

Daily travel by automobile is required. Overnight travel will be minimal. Pace Analytical Life Sciences is a privately held, growing company located in Oakdale, MN. This position represents a significant career opportunity for the qualified candidate.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience selling technical products or services into pharmaceutical and/or medical device companies. Successful direct sales experience or strong sales aptitude and the ability to build long lasting client relationships are a must. Prior experience in prospecting and cold calling is required.
The compensation package for this position includes base salary plus commission, car allowance, company expense account and a comprehensive benefits package.
